Kee Poh is the founder and managing director of Pointer LLC. He was awarded the Overseas Union Bank
Scholarship to read law at the National University of Singapore where he graduated with an LL.B (Hons) Second
Class Upper Division in 1994. In the same year, he completed his Practice Law Course examinations, conducted by
the Board of Legal Education, where he finished within the top 10 of his class.
Professional Experience
Kee Poh has been in private practice since being admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1995. His
experience includes mergers and acquisitions, investment projects, general and structured finance, aircraft
finance, debt restructuring and distressed debt portfolio acquisition. From pulp mill and oilfield equipment to
marine engineering services and research services, Kee Poh had advised targets and acquirers across various
industries in some of the M&A deals. From putting up base stations to building luxury resorts, he had also
advised a wide spectrum of investors and financial institutions in investing in various asset classes around the
region through various offshore vehicles and structures. As well as advising export credit agencies and
financial institutions in aircraft finance, he has also advised private clients in the acquisition of private
jets and lessors in leasing transactions in the region. In addition, he has advised various entities and
financial institutions in structured finance deals (including onshore and offshore leveraged leases and
off-balance sheet transactions), onshore and offshore debt workouts and acquisition of distressed assets in the
region.
